Retired policeman Edvard Holoubek tells Lieutenant Josef Slonsk that he knows there was a miscarriage of justice thirty years before, and he'd like to put it right before he dies. When Slonsk begins to investigate, there are more killings, convincing him that someone does not want the matter reopened. Slonsk finds himself dragged into the coldest of cold cases that will touch those nearest to him. Set in modern day Prague with a Lieutenant who still holds old school views, The Book of Slaughter and Forgetting will appeal to anyone who enjoys a classic mystery story with undertones of black comedy. Graham Brack was born in Sunderland. Having produced a lot of highly respected technical writing, The Book of Slaughter and Forgetting - is the second in the Slonsk series. The series started with The Outrageous Behaviour of the Left Handed Dwarves which was Brack's first work of fiction.
